Magnificat High School Blue Streaks Claim Top Spot at Bay Invite Cross Country Meet
In an impressive display of athleticism and endurance, the Magnificat High School Blue Streaks emerged victorious at the Bay Invite Cross Country Meet held on August 24, 2024, in Bay Village. Competing in the Girls Varsity category, the team clinched first place out of six teams, showcasing their skill and teamwork.
The event featured strong competition from other schools including Bay Village, Olmsted Falls, and North Olmsted, but the Blue Streaks stood out with several key performances. Allison Sanchez led the team with a notable time of 20:49, finishing 4th overall. She was closely followed by teammates Megan Martin, Mikaela Davala, Ally Liller, and Rebecca Jewell, who secured 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th positions respectively. Their collective effort was crucial in securing the top spot for their team.
The success at the Bay Invite sets a positive pace for the season. The Blue Streaks are scheduled to compete next at the Avon Lake Early Bird event at LCCC on August 31, 2024. This upcoming event will be another opportunity for the team to display their prowess and continue their winning streak.
