Magnificat High School Blue Streaks Secure Victory at Celtic Hope Classic

Magnificat High School displayed a formidable performance at the Celtic Hope Classic held at Darby Creek Golf Club on September 15, 2025. In an exciting 18-hole stroke play format, the Magnificat varsity girls golf team triumphed amidst sunny weather to clinch first place among the strong competition. The Blue Streaks posted an impressive score of 296, edging out teams from Dublin Jerome, Olentangy, Olentangy Orange, and New Albany. Dublin Jerome finished closely behind with a score of 298, followed by Olentangy at 299, Olentangy Orange at 316, and New Albany at 322. The standout performances came from Calli Reed and Korrine Knaze, both notching a score of 72 and earning spots on the All-Tournament Team. Kayla Knaze contributed a 73, while Kellan Gleason rounded out the team’s strong showing with a 79, securing the win with her final strokes. Key moments included Kellan Gleason's pivotal play in the last moments of the round, which kept the Blue Streaks at the forefront of the leaderboard. The team's coach expressed pride in the girls' resilience and performance, especially noting the victory allowed for a celebratory stop for Der Dutchmen Donuts, marking a sweet end to a tough day. Looking forward, the Blue Streaks are set to participate in the Olentangy Orange Invitational at The Links at Echo Springs, continuing their successful season with a current record of 12 wins and 2 losses. The team also celebrated breaking the school record for invitational wins in a single season, now standing at 12. The next tournament promises to be another showcase of skill and teamwork as they aim to continue their winning streak.
