Magnificat High School Blue Streaks Senior Night Track and Field Meet Recap
Magnificat High School Blue Streaks Girls Varsity team celebrated their senior night at St Edward, facing St Joseph on May 6, 2025, in a close-fought dual meet. The event, titled 'Senior Night dual meet vs. St Joes,' marked a significant event for the seniors of the team, showcasing their athletic skills one last time on their home turf.
Despite a challenging matchup, the Blue Streaks displayed impressive individual performances, although they fell short in the overall team score with St Joseph clinching the meet 79 to 58. Among the highlights were exceptional achievements in the field events. Chloe Bibbo showcased her prowess in the pole vault, securing a win with a remarkable height of 9'0". In the high jump, Katelyn Singleton leaped to victory with a jump measuring 5'0". Casey Ansberry added to the Blue Streaks' successes by winning the long jump with a notable distance of 16' 6 3/4".
The track events also saw remarkable performances from Magnificat's relay teams. The 4x800 team, consisting of Sanchez, Kuhlman, Vargo, and Martin, led the pack with a winning time of 10:26, displaying excellent teamwork and stamina. Continuing the trend, the 4x400 team, formed by Kuhlman, Sanchez, McGreal, and Davala, triumphed as well, finishing with a strong time of 4:29. These victories highlighted the skill and determination of the Blue Streaks' athletes during one of their most poignant evenings of the season.
