Magnificat High School Competes in Girls Regional Cross Country Championship
In an exhilarating display of resilience and team spirit, the Magnificat High School Blue Streaks competed in the Girls Regional Cross Country Championship on October 26, 2024, in Boardman. The event, which marked a significant milestone in the cross country season, saw numerous schools from the region vying for top honors.
Among the highlights was the noteworthy performance of senior Allison Sanchez. In her final race for Magnificat High School, Sanchez completed the course in a time of 20:46, securing the 81st position. This marked her last participation as a Blue Streak, capping off her high school cross country career with a commendable performance. Her determination and effort throughout the season were a beacon of inspiration for her teammates and underclassmen. The storied course in Boardman proved to be a challenging battleground where the young athletes tested their limits against the best in the region. The Blue Streaks, led by their coaches and cheered on by a supportive crowd, demonstrated the spirit of true competitors, facing each challenge head-on. The regional championship not only provided a platform for athletic prowess but also highlighted the close-knit community and the strong support system within the Magnificat High School athletic department.
