Magnificat High School Triumphs at Medina Invitational
The Magnificat High School Girls Varsity Golf team delivered a spectacular performance at the Medina Invitational held at Fox Meadow Country Club on September 11, 2025. Competing against regional schools including Walsh Jesuit, Brunswick, Solon, and Highland, Magnificat emerged as the champions with a remarkable score of 295, leading their nearest competitor by 11 strokes. The 18-hole stroke play format highlighted the exceptional skills of Magnificat golfers, with Calli Reed stealing the spotlight by shooting a career-low 68. Korrine Knaze also shone brightly with an impressive score of 70. The team's early momentum was crucial, as described by the pivotal moment when the Blue Streaks made their mark early in the tournament and maintained their lead throughout. Coach's remarks after the tournament praised the team's consistent performance, noting their fifth consecutive victory and expressing optimism for the upcoming post-season. The girls are set to continue their campaign at the Celtic Hope Classic at Darby Creek, carrying forward a strong season record of 11-2.
