Magnificat High School's Blue Streaks Compete at OATCCC Indoor State Meet

The Magnificat High School Blue Streaks track and field team showcased their prowess at the OATCCC Indoor State Meet held at the Spire Institute. On March 1, the Blue Streaks secured a team score of 9.25, earning the 22nd spot overall at the State Meet where they faced other Ohio schools including Avon, Strongsville, and St Joes. Madison Miller's skill in high jump was evident as she claimed a second-place finish, clearing a height of 5 feet, 3 inches. Pole vault saw strong competition as Allison Eppich not only secured an eighth-place finish with a new personal record of 11 feet, but also set a new standard for her team. Emily Allman displayed her prowess with a PR of 11 feet, finishing in 11th. Grace Kuchta's determination was on full display outperforming her seeding and claiming 20th in the triple jump with a leap of 30 feet. In the relay events, the Blue Streaks continued to make their mark. The 4x800 relay team of Megan Martin, Jesse Vargo, Allison Sanchez, and Mariella Mayer secured the 20th spot with a time of 10:23. The 4x400 team comprising Mikaela Davala, Mariella Mayer, Megan Martin, and Brooklyn Ramos-Kelly crossed the line in 11th position with a time of 4:08.81. Mikaela Davala's individual performance in the 800m run was remarkable, as she finished eighth with a time of 2:17.89. The Blue Streaks now turn their focus towards their next challenges with their spirits lifted by the achievements at the OATCCC Indoor State Meet.
