Blue Streaks Strike Five Times and Blank Beaumont in Opener

Peter Fitzpatrick | Magnificat High School | Aug 18, 2026

Magnificat opened its season with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Beaumont on Aug. 15, turning an early corner kick into the breakthrough and rolling from there at Karnatz Family Field at Magnificat High. The Blue Streaks scored twice before halftime, added three goals in the second half and completed the shutout without needing a save.

The decisive surge began during the opening 15 minutes. A right-side corner kick created a ricochet in front of goal, where Carly Dudek finished the opportunity on a well placed kick beating the goalie to the right side.. Magnificat doubled the advantage in the 16th minute when No. 26 Kalli Sdrakas unleashed a powerful right-footed shot from just inside the left side of the box. The ball beat the goalkeeper and drove into the far corner, giving the Blue Streaks a 2-0 halftime lead.

Magnificat quickly carried that energy into the second half. No. 11 Lexi Hradek struck a shot from the middle that hit the crossbar, deflected off the goalkeeper and crossed the line for the third goal. During a two-goal burst between the 61st and 75th minutes, a corner from Lexi led to a deflection and a headed finish by Carly Dudek. The final goal came when Teagan Mulloy met a beautiful pass from the left wing and converted a left-footed one-timer inside the box.

The Blue Streaks controlled 67.8% of possession while completing 312 of 408 passes, including 65 successful passes in the attacking third.

The defense matched the attack, protecting the clean sheet through the final whistle as Magnificat maintained 66.4% possession after halftime. The Blue Streaks will next travel to face Hudson High School on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 7 p.m. EDT.
