Magnificat's Blue Streaks Shine at the Rollin Waite Track and Field Invite
The Magnificat High School Blue Streaks recently participated in the Rollin Waite Track and Field Invite on April 30 at the Western Reserve Academy. The meet, which featured a mix of events, saw the Blue Streaks compete against schools that included Walsh, Hathaway Brown, and Western Reserve, in an unscored showdown. In individual events, Magnificat's athletes delivered strong performances. The girls' running and racing events saw some notable finishes: Avery Bellack sprinted to a 2nd place in the 200m dash and achieved a 3rd place finish in the 100m dash. Isabel Boland claimed a 3rd place spot in the 400m dash, while Mae McGreal soared to victory in the high jump with a 1st place finish, clearing the bar at 4 feet and 10 inches. Additionally, Clare Egan and McKenna Purtillo shared a 2nd place tie in the high jump, while Milania Bolzan triumphed in the long jump, and Cate McGuire secured a solid 2nd place in the same event. "We are proud of the hard work and determination demonstrated by each of our athletes at the Rollin Waite Invite," recognized the Blue Streaks coaching staff.
