In a highly competitive JV soccer match held on the evening of September 4, 2024, at Brunswick, Magnificat High School faced off against Brunswick High School in the regular season encounter. Despite a strong display of skill and possession, Magnificat fell to Brunswick with a final score of 2-0. The Blue Streaks demonstrated a commendable effort throughout the match, particularly noted by their control of ball possession at an impressive 70% and a successful pass completion rate of 72%. Although the Blue Streaks trailed 1-0 at halftime, they managed to create numerous opportunities, totaling 12 shots on goal. Yet, the resolute Brunswick defense and effectiveness in crucial moments led to two decisive goals from breakout plays by the Blue Devils. Magnificat's goalkeeper, Abby Garcia, displayed a strong performance, saving 6 shots on goal.
