Swimming & Diving Finishes As District Runner-Up; Qualify 4 To State Meet

Magnificat Swimming & Diving made waves at the OHSAA Division I District Meet hosted at Bowling Green State University, capturing the Runner-Up position with a team score of 183. As the varsity girls' team showcased their prowess in the pool, several athletes punched their tickets to the OHSAA Division I State Meet with standout performances across multiple events. Among the highlights, Brooke Farrell '25 distinguished herself by qualifying in both the 50 Yard Freestyle and the 100 Yard Butterfly. Additionally, the Blue Streaks demonstrated their depth in relay events, with both the 200 Yard and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay teams securing spots at the state meet. The 200 Yard team, composed of Brooke Farrell, Natalie Drexler '27, Molly Pisanelli '28, and Alta Taseff '26, and the same quartet replicated their success in the 400 Yard event, capped off by a thrilling finish by Alta Taseff. As the Blue Streaks gear up for their next challenge, the OHSAA Division I State Meet on Friday, February 21st at the CT Branin Natatorium in Canton, they bring momentum and high spirits from their recent achievements. The team and their supporters eagerly anticipate what promises to be an exhilarating competition at the state level.
