Tennis Sends 3 To District Tournament
Magnificat Tennis excelled at the OHSAA Division I Sectional Tournament that was completed on Coyne Courts at Magnificat High School on October 2nd. The Blue Streaks were highlighted by senior Anna Mancino, who clinched the singles championship, and the doubles team of senior Corinne Daniels and junior Molly Williams, who secured a commendable 2nd place finish. Mancino defeated Kayla Bussard of Olmsted Falls by a score of 6-0,6-1 in the championship match. On the doubles court, Daniels/Williams fought hard but fell to the team from Highland (Medina) 5-7, 2-6. The three Blue Streaks will now head to the OHSAA Division I District Tournament which begins on Wednesday, October 9th at Springside Athletic Club in Akron.
