Varsity Basketball Closes Home Season With Victory Over Western Reserve Academy 63-51
Magnificat Varsity Basketball celebrated a significant victory against the Western Reserve Academy 63-51. Playing their final home game of the season, the Blue Streaks used a strong third quarter to pull away from the Pioneers. The matchup was tightly contested, especially in the first half, wrapping up with Magnificat slightly ahead, 23-22. The second half saw Magnificat increase their lead significantly, a shift fueled by outstanding performances from seniors Sofia Wilson, who scored 23 points (including 3 3-point field goals), and Reese Roggenburk, with 15 points, leading the team to a well-deserved victory. The win, their 5th straight, pushes the Blue Streaks' season record to 15-5. Next, they face Solon at Solon HS on February 11th.
