Varsity Basketball Cruises To Senior Night Win Over Padua
Magnificat Varsity Basketball clinched a decisive 74-38 victory against Padua on January 22, 2025. Hosted at their home court, the Blue Streaks, led by senior Julia Hall’s impressive 25 points, overwhelmed their opponents in a regular season face-off that left the Bruins trailing from the onset. By halftime, Magnificat had already established a commanding lead, posting a 36-17 score against Padua, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Alongside Hall, senior teammates Reese Roggenburk and Sofia Wilson were notable contributors. Roggenburk added an impressive 13 points paired with 11 rebounds, while Wilson scored 11 points, dished out 4 assists, and grabbed 5 rebounds. The game was particularly special as it coincided with Senior Recognition Night, celebrating the achievements of Magnificat's senior players. The evening saw 11 Blue Streak players enter the scoring column, showcasing the depth and versatility of the team. Magnificat now moves to an 11-5 record and looks forward to their next challenge against Saint Joseph Academy on Wednesday, January 29th, at their own court.
