Varsity Basketball Handles Fremont Ross As Playoff Push Begins
Magnificat Varsity Basketball secured a resounding victory against Fremont Ross at home on Saturday, February 1st. The final buzzer reflected a 66-20 win for the Blue Streaks. From the very beginning, Magnificat established a strong lead, ending the first half with a score of 41-15. This early advantage set the tone for the rest of the game, as Magnificat continued to dominate on their home court. Senior Charlotte Pap connected on 2 3-point field goals early on, while fellow seniors Julia Hall (20 points) and Sofia Wilson (12 points) paced the Blue Streaks. The team's depth was on full display, as 10 Blue Streak players scored throughout the game, showcasing the robust bench strength of Magnificat. Looking ahead, the Magnificat will face Stow-Monroe Falls on February 5th at Stow-Monroe Falls HS.
