Varsity Basketball Holds On To Top Notre Dame Academy
In a thrilling varsity basketball showdown at Magnificat High School, the Blue Streaks powered through to a win over Notre Dame Academy (Toledo) 58-46. The game started off competitive, with Magnificat taking a halftime lead of 31-22. Their momentum was not just a fluke of the first half, as they maintained their lead throughout the second half, finishing twelve points clear of the Eagles. A key player, senior Julia Hall, dazzled the crowd with an impressive 21 point-game, followed closely by fellow seniors Reese Roggenburk and Sofia Wilson, who notched 16 and 12 points respectively. Their collective efforts were crucial in securing the victory for Magnificat. This win brings Blue Streak's current season record to 8-3, demonstrating their strong form as they navigate through the season. Looking ahead, the Blue Streaks are set to confront Medina at Medina High School on Friday, January 10th.
