Varsity Basketball Pulls Out Overtime Victory In Regional Semifinal Rematch Against Brush
In a thrilling varsity basketball showdown, Magnificat Varsity Basketball secured a victory in overtime against the Brush Lady Arcs with a final score of 46-38 in overtime. The regular season game, held at Magnificat High School showcased a gritty comeback by the Blue Streaks, who were trailing by one point at halftime with a score of 16-15 and trailed by as many as 8 early in the game. The game intensified as Magnificat, spurred by standout performances from seniors Julia Hall, who scored 19 points, Sofia Wilson with 13 points, and Reese Roggenburk adding another 10, managed to push the game into overtime where they ultimately clinched the win. This victory improves their record to 3-1. The Blue Streaks will now prepare for their next challenge as they face Saint Joseph Academy on Wednesday, December 11th at the Saint Joseph Academy. The freshman contest tips off at 4:00pm followed by the JV at 5:30pm and Varsity at 7:00pm.
