Varsity Basketball Sweeps Season Series Over Saint Joseph Academy; Hall Scores 1000th Point
In an impressive display on their home court, the Magnificat Varsity Basketball clinched a resounding 61-32 win against the Saint Joseph Academy. The Blue Streaks led from start to finish, leading at halftime with a score of 36-13 and closing the game nearly doubling their opponent's points. The victory marked the 7th straight win over the Jaguars. Senior Julia Hall was the standout player for the Magnificat, scoring 18 points and reaching a significant milestone in her career—1000 points - late in the 4th quarter. Fellow seniors Reese Roggenburk and Sofia Wilson also made substantial contributions with 14 and 11 points, respectively, bolstering the team's offense throughout the game. The victory advances Magnificat's season record to 12-5, with an upcoming contest against Fremont Ross at Magnificat High School on February 1, 2025.
