Varsity Golf Finishes As Runner-Up In Blue Streak Invitational
Magnificat Varsity Golf secured a runner-up finish in the Magnificat Blue Streak Invitational on August 19th at Avon Oaks Country Club. Facing cool and windy conditions, the Blue Streaks demonstrated their competitive edge during the tournament firing a team score of 308 falling one stroke short of team champion Dublin Jerome who shot a team score of 307. Despite finishing as runner-up, the performance of senior Cammy Reed stood out as a highlight. Reed's 3-under par 69 turned heads as she finished as medalist in the event. Rounding out the scoring for the Blue Streaks were sophomore Kayla Knaze with a 78, senior Maureen O'Leary with an 80, freshman Calli Reed with an 81 & junior Kristina Chill with an 84. Looking ahead, Magnificat will be participating in the Flamingo Frenzy on Tuesday, August 20th at Ridgewood Golf Course, aiming to build on their strong showing and strive for yet another podium finish.
