Varsity Lacrosse Earns Comeback Win Over Avon 9-7

Magnificat Varsity Lacrosse pulled off an impressive comeback to defeat the Avon Eagles by a final score of 9-7. Despite trailing at halftime by a score of 5-1, the Blue Streaks turned the game around in the second half. Magnificat's offensive push was led by sophomore Mary Connor and junior Alena Martinez, each netting three goals. Martinez also contributed significantly with two assists, showcasing her all-around playmaking abilities. Freshman Nadia Zaripheh, guarding the goal for Magnificat, played a pivotal role in the team's defense, helping to secure the win with 7 saves. This victory brings the season record for the Blue Streaks to an impressive 9-3 as they continue to demonstrate their prowess in the regular season. The Blue Streaks are set to face Hathaway Brown School next on Thursday, May 1st at 5:00pm on their home field.
