Varsity Lacrosse Runs Past Rival Saint Joseph Academy 20-4

Magnificat Varsity Lacrosse secured a decisive victory against the Saint Joseph Academy Jaguars. The Blue Streaks, playing on their home turf at Karnatz Family Field, displayed a skillful performance that resulted in a final score of 20-4. From the early stages of the game, it was clear that Magnificat was determined to dominate. By halftime, they held a comfortable lead at 12-3, which set the tone for the rest of the game. Sophomore Grace Quinn was pivotal for the Blue Streaks, netting a total of 7 goals. Freshman Mary Connor wasn't far behind, scoring 5. Senior Kristina Fedorova and sophomore Alena Martinez also shone with 3 goals apiece. Quinn's contribution went beyond scoring, as she also facilitated her teammates' success with 6 assists. The Blue Streaks' goalkeepers, Sophomores Olivia Brugnoni and Lucy Webb, impressively combined for 7 saves. In this return to winning ways, Magnificat celebrated its first victory over the Jaguars since 2018, highlighting the team's continued improvement and determination. The Blue Streaks are building on an impressive 12-2 record and are poised for their next challenge. They are set to face Hudson at Karnatz Family Field on Thursday, May 2nd.
