Varsity Lacrosse Tops Gilmour 15-8
Magnificat Varsity Lacrosse secured another win with a 15-8 victory at Gilmour Academy. The Blue Streaks started the game strong leading 8-4 by halftime. The team's momentum persisted in the second half as it widened the gap to secure a comfortable lead. Freshman Mary Connor stood out as the top scorer for Magnificat with an impressive 5 goals, followed by sophomores Grace Quinn and Alena Martinez who each contributed 3 goals. Seniors Stella Frain and Kristina Fedorova rounded out the scoring for the Blue Streaks with 2 goals & 1 goal, respectively. Quinn and freshman Lily Casterline showcased their team play with each of them adding 2 assists to the game. Sophomore Olivia Brugnoni played a pivotal role in defense, making 9 crucial saves in front of goal. Magnificat will face off against Padua Franciscan at Padua Franciscan High School in their next game scheduled for April 15th at 7:00pm, as they continue their journey with a strong 5-1 record.
