Varsity Softball Falls 3-2 In Orlando
Magnificat Varsity Softball lost a close contest to Notre Dame Academy (Staten Island, NY) 3-2 in Orlando, Florida. The game concluded with a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh by Notre Dame Academy, securing the win. Seniors Summer Solitaria and Ruari Dever scored the runs for Magnificat. Additionally, Dever and junior Kate Hershey were credited with RBIs during the game. Senior Rachel Witalis, the Blue Streaks' starting pitcher, showcased her prowess on the mound by striking out 12 batters. The Magnificat Blue Streaks are set to regroup for their next scheduled game on April 3rd in Orlando. As the team's current season record stands at 2-1, the team will no doubt be looking to turn in a strong performance in the games to come.
