Varsity Softball Gets Walk-Off Win Over NDCL 6-5
Magnificat Varsity Softball secured a 6-5 victory on Karnatz Family Field over the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions. The highly contested game was marked by senior Summer Solitaria and junior Vanessa Roth's consistent offensive performance. Both athletes contributed two runs each, a pivotal factor in the team's triumph. Senior Ruari Dever played a key role, further bolstering Magnificat's scorecard with 2 RBIs. The game was characterized by a stand-out moment in the seventh inning, when senior Caroline Johnson blazed a pivotal single that produced the game-winning run. Pitching played a significant role in the game, with starting pitcher senior Rachel Witalis leading from the front. Her noteworthy 8 strikeouts were complimented by the solid work of the entire team.
