Volleyball Secures Regional Semifinal Victory Over Jackson 3-1
Magnificat Volleyball triumphed over Jackson (Massillon) in the OHSAA Division I Regional Semifinal 3-1 in a match held at Barberton High School on Halloween night. The victory puts the Blue Streaks in the Elite 8 in Division I volleyball! The game opened with a tight first set, where Magnificat edged out Jackson with a narrow 26-24 win coming back from a 23-20 deficit to close the set. The team maintained their momentum into the second set, securing a more comfortable victory at 25-15. Despite a challenging third set in which Jackson managed a 25-22 win, the Blue Streaks rebounded strongly in the fourth, clinching the match with a 25-17 set victory. This win propels the Blue Streaks into the next round with a current record standing at 17-7. Looking ahead, Magnificat is scheduled to face Saint Joseph Academy on Saturday, November 2nd in the OHSAA Division I Regional Championship. The match will take place at 2:00pm at Barberton High School.
