Normandy High School Girls Wrestling Shines at Vermillion High School Tournament
The Invaders Girls Wrestling team delivered an impressive performance at the Vermillion Defense Soap Invitational on December 21, finishing 6th out of 42 teams despite competing with several wrestlers sidelined due to injury. The strong team showing highlighted the Invaders’ depth, resilience, and determination against a large and competitive field. Individually, the Invaders saw standout performances across multiple weight classes. Gabby Lopez led the way with a 1st-place finish, dominating her bracket and continuing her strong season. Miyah Makoski battled her way to a 3rd-place finish, while Leilani Dobay earned a 4th-place finish, contributing valuable points to the team total. With momentum on their side, the Invaders now turn their focus to the Lutheran West Tournament on December 27 and 28, where they look to build on this success and showcase another strong team performance.
