Normandy High School Invaders Kick Off New Wrestling Season with Fresh Ambitions
Normandy High School's Girls Wrestling team, the Invaders, began their season with high hopes and a new head coach, Kyle Workman, at the helm. This season marks Coach Workman's first year with the team, following their impressive 14-1 record last season. During the previous season, the Invaders celebrated significant achievements, including Brooke Yontosh serving as a state alternate. However, the transition into the new season brings its challenges, notably the departure of key seniors Brooklyn Madal, Erta Beqiri, and Tamrah Szucs due to graduation. Despite these losses, the team harbors strong prospects with several key wrestlers returning, including Brooke Yontosh, Juliana Campos, Miyah Makoski, and Isabella Bonelli. Coach Workman expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, aiming to get after the competition and get 1% better everyday.
