Normandy Invaders Girls Soccer Ready to Kick Off 2025 Season with Determination and Heart

The Normandy Invaders girls soccer team is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season, led by Head Coach Franco Tieri, now entering his fifth year at the helm. Joining him is Assistant Coach Samantha Perdue, a standout former player from the 2023 squad, bringing fresh energy and insight to the coaching staff. Despite a challenging 2024 season marked by injuries and a 2-13-2 record, the Invaders are focused on improving as a team. With a small but talented roster, the team is anchored by seniors Captain Juliana Armenta, Keilei Anderson, Myalis Saez, and Isabel Kroth. Juniors, Captain Faith Mathis, along with Makaylea Norman, Karley Boege, Brea Rasic, and Nicole Tama, add depth and skill, while sophomore Presley Beckrest enters her second year as a starter and looks to make a significant impact. Coach Tieri, a veteran with 18 years of coaching experience, in all levels of the game. Currently, coaching club soccer in the off-season for Manta United Soccer Club serves as the Head Coach of the 2010 Girls ECNL RL team. Coach Tieri emphasizes the importance of resilience and passion: “Let’s remember why we love the game! Make every minute count.” Under his guidance, the Invaders are implementing a new strategy aimed at maximizing their strengths and fostering team unity. The season brings us to North Ridgeville on August 18. Highly anticipated home game match against Valley Forge on August 26 at Byers Field. Other games to look out for are Holy Name and Padua Franciscan; the other two schools located in the city of Parma have been exciting games in the past years. The team will also engage with the community through youth nights, games, and having ball girls during home games, inspiring future athletes and building school spirit. Coach Perdue shared her excitement: “Let’s show them we are a small roster, but we can play.” The Invaders continue to excel off the field as well, having achieved impressive Team Academic GPAs of 3.73 and 3.91 in recent seasons. With a renewed focus and a passionate squad, the Normandy Invaders are ready to make their mark in 2025.
