Normandy’s All-League Standouts Power Invaders Pride

Chris Medaglia | Normandy High School | Mar 16, 2026

What makes this Normandy High School girls basketball group so special isn’t just the wins on the court—it’s the way its leaders have risen to become some of the Cleveland West Conference’s most respected players. This season, the Invaders proudly landed multiple All-League selections, a testament to their hard work, perseverance and the growing strength of the program.

Junior guard Lindsay Meriwether led the way, earning First Team All-League honors. As a junior, Meriwether has quickly become one of the most reliable and dynamic players in the conference. Her ability to control the tempo, attack the basket and step up in big moments made her a clear choice for top recognition. Lindsay’s growth from an eager underclassman to a confident floor leader reflects countless hours in the gym and a commitment to pushing herself and her teammates to a higher standard.

Joining her on the All-League list are juniors Ziley Minich and senior Keilei Anderson, who both earned Second Team honors. Minich brings energy and toughness to every possession, often doing the little things that don’t always show up in the box score—diving for loose balls, rotating on defense and keeping the team connected. Anderson, as a senior, has been a steadying presence, providing leadership, experience and a calm demeanor in tight games. Together, they form a core that balances youth and maturity, giving Normandy a foundation built to compete every night.

The Invaders’ recognition doesn’t stop there. Seniors and juniors alike earned Honorable Mention, underscoring the team’s depth and collective effort. Senior Giana Carcioppolo received Honorable Mention for her consistency and resilience, embracing her role and setting an example for younger players through her determination and team-first attitude. Junior Allison Pollock also claimed Honorable Mention, showcasing her potential as a rising contributor who is helping to shape the future of Normandy basketball.

Together, these All-League honorees embody what it means to represent Normandy High School and the Invaders mascot with pride. Their individual accolades reflect far more than personal success—they spotlight a culture of hard work, accountability and belief in one another. As this group of juniors prepares to step into even larger roles and the seniors leave their legacy behind, Normandy’s girls basketball program can celebrate both the present accomplishments and the bright future these leaders are helping to build.
