Northeastern Junior College Clinches 3rd Place in National Volleyball Tournament

The Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen secured a historic third-place finish in the National Volleyball Tournament on November 22, 2025, by narrowly defeating Weatherford College in a tense five-set match in Clarksville, TN. This marks the highest placement in the school's history for volleyball. The match commenced with the Plainswomen revealing strong offensive plays, overcoming the Weatherford Coyotes 25-22 in the first set and continuing their momentum to take the second set 25-16. However, the subsequent sets saw a dramatic turn as Weatherford College surged back, taking the third and fourth sets (25-12 and 25-19, respectively), pushing the match to a decisive fifth set. In a thrilling finale, Northeastern Junior College edged out their opponents with a 15-11 win in the final set. This remarkable season ended with the Plainswomen posting a commendable final record of 35 wins to only 4 losses. Additionally, standout player Kiera Heaven Loe received individual accolades, being named to the National All-Tournament Team, further highlighting Northeastern's impressive performance in the tournament.
