Trevor Chintala | Northeastern Junior College | Jan 27, 2025

In an intense showdown at the Bank of Colorado Event Center on January 24, the Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen faced a narrow defeat against the Trinidad State College Trojans with a final score of 80-77. Despite a spirited effort, the Plainsmen couldn't secure a win in this crucial South Region basketball contest. Top performers for the Plainsmen included Noah Adamczyk, who led with 20 points, followed by Quis Davis with 18 points, and Ryder McConnell contributing 14 points. The game was fiercely competitive, with each team displaying strong offense and tenacity till the last buzzer. Coach Trenkle emphasized the need for improvement in certain areas, stating, "Make more free throws and keep working on offensive rebounds." This feedback points towards a focused training session as they prepare for their next challenge. Looking ahead, the Plainsmen are set to face Otero College at the same venue on January 25. With a current season record of 6-13, the team is determined to turn things around and capitalize on their home court advantage in the coming games.
