Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen men's basketball team triumphed over the Western Nebraska Cougars on May 12, 2025, during a critical Region IX Regular Season game held at the Bank of Colorado Event Center. The Plainsmen clinched a narrow victory with a final score of NJC 87, WNCC 84, after maintaining a lead from the first half.
Behind dominant performances from Ryder McConnell, who scored 18 points, and Owen Wright with 16 points, the Plainsmen exited the first half with a promising score of 54-42. Quis Davis also made substantial contributions with 11 assists, while Kaamil Domingo led rebounds with 12.
