Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen Face Setback in National Tournament Semifinals
In the National volleyball tournament semifinals held on November 21, 2025, the Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen faced a challenging opponent, Miami Dade Sharks, at the event in Clarksville, TN. The match ended with the Plainswomen losing to the Sharks 0-3. The competition started with the first set, where the NJC Plainswomen put up a solid fight but fell short, with the set closing at 20-25 in favor of Miami Dade. Progressing into the second set, the intensity increased, yet Miami Dade continued to dominate, clinching the set with a score of 19-25. The third and final set saw the Plainswomen facing difficulties in countering Miami Dade's offensive plays, resulting in a 14-25 set score, securing Miami Dade's victory and a spot in the finals. Despite the setback, the NJC Plainswomen's journey in the tournament isn't over yet. They will be competing for the 3rd place on November 22, 2025, against Weatherford College, again in Clarksville, TN. Their current season record stands impressively at 34-4, reflecting a strong performance throughout the year.
