Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen Secure Victory Over Ranger College

In a thrilling basketball game played on December 13, 2025, the Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen basketball team emerged victorious against Ranger College with a final score of 69-63. The game was held in Hobbs, NM, marking a significant win for the NJC team towards the end of the semester. Halfway through the game, the Plainswomen were trailing behind with a score of 27-31. However, they managed to rally back, securing the lead and the win by the final whistle. Key players such as Yaly Ben Harush, who scored a high of 20 points, Daniela Garcia Gasco with 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Monique Sena with both 11 points and 6 rebounds, played pivotal roles in the team's success. Both Ben Harush and Sena also led with 3 assists each. Monique Sena's performance earned her the DDC Player of the Game. Postgame, the coach expressed optimism about the team's future, stating, 'Great win to end the semester. Excited to see what we do next semester.' The Plainswomen are set to face LCCC in their next game scheduled for January 7, 2026, at the Bank of Colorado Event Center. Currently, the NJC Plainswomen's season record stands at 3 wins and 11 losses.
