Northeastern Junior College Volleyball Team Triumphs Over Eastern Wyoming College
In a convincing Region IX volleyball showdown, the Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen defeated the Eastern Wyoming College Lancers with a resounding match score of 3-0 on October 27th in Torrington, WY. This victory reinforces the Plainswomen's reputation as a dominant force within the region, bolstering their season record to 28-3. The match commenced with the Plainswomen showcasing their strength and coordination, clinching the first set 25-15 against the Lancers. The momentum did not falter as they proceeded to the second set, wrapping it up at 25-12. In the third and final set of the match, despite a stronger resistance from the Lancers, Northeastern Junior College secured a 25-17 win to complete a clean sweep. Notably, Evie Gavette was distinguished as the DDC player of the Match for her exceptional defensive plays, significantly impacting the match's outcome with crucial saves. Looking forward, the Plainswomen are set to host Western Nebraska Community College on October 29th in Sterling, CO. The forthcoming match will present another opportunity for the Northeastern Junior College team to solidify their formidable status heading towards the conclusive stages of the season.
