Plainsmen Golf Excels in District Tournament: Ewoniuk Leads as DDC Golfer of the First Round
In a notable performance at the Post Season District Tournament on April 24th, Northeastern Junior College's Men's Golf team showcased their talents under the overcast skies at The Olde Course in Loveland, CO. The tournament, which draws top junior college golfers, saw Ryan Ewoniuk lead the Plainsmen with exceptional performances in both rounds of the day.
Ewoniuk, rising as the DDC Golfer of the First Round, shot impressive scores of 73 and 74 over the two 18-hole segments, solidifying his position as a standout player. Alongside him, Jake Legg maintained consistent form with rounds of 75 each, while Kasen McNeilly, Tyler Miller, and Seth Morrison also contributed significantly to the team's performance with their scores across the rounds.
With the tournament set to continue on April 25th at the same location, the Plainsmen are well-positioned to build on their strong start. The continued performance in this Post Season District Tournament could pave the way for further success and recognition for the Northeastern Junior College team.
