Saint Ignatius High School Wildcats Achieve Runner-Up at Spins Bowl

The Saint Ignatius High School Wildcats bowling team displayed excellent form finishing as the runner-up at the Ravenna Boys Varsity Invitational Tournament held at Spins Bowl in Kent, Ohio on November 23, 2025. Competing against 31 other high school teams, the Wildcats showed outstanding skill and team coordination but ultimately fell short to Mentor High School in the final rounds of the event.

Teague led the Wildcats with a remarkable performance, delivering 9 consecutive strikes followed by 8 more in a subsequent game. His superior play continued as he scored a 49-15 victory in a 9th and 10th frame roll-off against Mentor, after striking on the last shot of Finals Baker Game 1, which was a crucial and memorable moment of the tournament. Cooper also contributed significantly with a '5 bagger' and a high game of 236. Will supported the team effort by contributing 5 strikes during the match play.

Additionally, the Wildcats had multiple players achieving 'turkeys', with Ayden, Colin, and Mason each managing 2 consecutive three-strike series, while Cooper and Teague each had one. Teague set a new school record with a high three-game series score of 757. Mason's highest was 633, while the high game scores from other players included Ayden at 219 and Mason at 211.

Looking ahead, the Wildcats are scheduled to compete again on November 29, 2025, at Rollhouse Parma. With their consistent performance and strategic skills honed during this rigorous tournament, the team is well-prepared for the upcoming challenges in their season.
