Saint Ignatius High School Wildcats Secure Victory Against Pendleton Arabians with 33-15 Score in JV Gold Rugby Match
The Saint Ignatius High School Wildcats JV Gold rugby team displayed a commendable performance in its regular season clash against the Pendleton Arabians, securing a 33-15 victory at the Fortress Obetz on March 9. Under cloudy, windy conditions, the Wildcats battled it out on the field to ultimately emerge triumphant. St. Ignatius took a slim lead by halftime with a score of 17-10 and continued their dominance into the second half to claim the win with a 33-15 final score. Mick O'Shea, Max Reed, Charlie Worthington and Jimmy Reilly showcased their skills by scoring tries for the Wildcats. Levi Hoffman and Connor Gallagher added on to the team's success with their conversions. The collective effort on both offense and defense underscored the Wildcats' cohesive play. "Pendleton was tough competition - they played a physical game. The team executed the game plan brilliantly, and it reflects in the final score," said Coach Connor Fitzpatrick. "Today's victory is a testament to the hard work and dedication the team has shown so far this season." Harrison White, who played a crucial role in the Wildcats' performance, shared his thoughts on the team's progress: "We're constantly improving, pushing each other to be better, and that's why you see us getting these results."
