St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Loses Tough Game Against Miami Valley Christian Academy

The SBEP Titans had trouble keeping up with Miami Valley Christian Academy in a 10-3 loss on Monday. Miami Valley Christian Academy opened the scoring in the first after #22 grounded out, scoring one run. Miami Valley Christian Academy added two additional runs in the third. #28 doubled to center field, making the score 3-0. #22 earned the win for Miami Valley Christian Academy. The pitcher gave up two hits and three runs (zero earned) over six innings, striking out nine and walking five. Logan Davis took the mound for St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Varsity Titans. The pitcher went six innings, surrendering 10 runs (six earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking seven. Keenan Derrenkamp and Jason Helphinstine each collected one hit for St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Varsity Titans. Mason Stone led the team with one run batted in. Despite the loss, the Titans displayed a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Nathan Schulte and Aiden Rack led the team with two walks each. SBEP will look to bounce back this Wednesday, when they play a game at Western Hills Varsity Mustangs.
