Strong Start to SBEP Track Season at CHCA Junior High Invitational
The St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Jr./Sr. High School's junior high track and field team started their season on a high note on April 8, 2025, at the CHCA Junior High Invitational at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. Despite the cold evening, the Titans, consisting of both boys and girls teams, demonstrated commendable performances against a host of competitors. The Titans boys team, described as 'small but mighty,' secured a respectable 9th place out of 18 teams. Individual performances were also a highlight of the evening, with Rome McDonald achieving 2nd place in the 1600-meter run and Te'Quan Woods matching that feat with 2nd place in the 200-meter hurdles. These results not only demonstrate the talents within the team but also set a high benchmark for their season. With many newcomers to the squad, the event was more than just a competition—it was a valuable experience and learning opportunity for the athletes. The team's next event is scheduled for April 16, 2025, at Deer Park, where they hope to build on their early success and continue developing their promising athletes.
