St. Charles East led from start to finish Friday, using a strong defensive opening half and a decisive touchdown after halftime to earn a 35-14 road victory over the Highland Park Giants. The Saints carried a 14-0 advantage into halftime, then stretched the margin to three touchdowns in the third quarter on their way to an impressive week 2 road performance.

Playing under mainly clear skies with the temperature at 81 degrees, the Saints quickly established control in Highland Park. The offense produced two first-half touchdowns, while the defense kept the Giants off the scoreboard. That balanced effort sent St. Charles East into the break with a 14-point cushion and plenty of momentum.
