Fighting Saints roll past Geneva 16-1 in four innings

St. Charles East kept its hot stretch rolling Friday night, overpowering Geneva 16-1 in four innings behind a barrage of extra-base power and steady work in the circle. The decisive blows came early and often for the Fighting Saints, who turned a road trip to Geneva into another statement win in a season already full of them.

Brynn Maple led the charge with a huge night at the plate, going 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs. Majkszak delivered one of the game’s biggest moments with a grand slam, and Hayden Sujack added another home run as the Saints’ lineup kept pressure on Geneva from start to finish. Multi-hit games from Moline, Beers, Higgins, Bigda and Van Dinther underscored just how balanced the offensive effort was for St. Charles East.

The result added another bright chapter to an impressive April run for St. Charles East, which has continued to stack wins with power hitting, reliable pitching and contributions throughout the roster. Friday’s performance showed all of that at once, from Maple’s big swing to Majkszak’s grand slam and the team-wide run production that kept the pressure on every inning.

The Fighting Saints now head back home with more momentum, set to host Wheaton Warrenville South on Monday as they look to carry another emphatic victory into the next stop on a strong season.
