Girls Lacrosse roll past Oswego 15-2 for second straight win
St. Charles Co-Op kept the momentum going Friday night, pulling away early and never looking back in a 15-2 home win over Oswego at Norris Stadium. The decisive moment came in the Saints’ fast start, as St. Charles Co-Op seized control and turned the matchup into a one-sided result on the way to its second consecutive victory.
Playing through light rain showers and cool spring temperatures, the Fighting Saints delivered the kind of complete effort that energizes a home crowd. St. Charles was sharp on the offensive end, consistently finishing possessions and building separation as the game moved through the quarters. The result followed another strong home performance earlier in the week, when the team defeated Geneva 9-5 on Senior Night, and it offered another encouraging sign for a co-op program made up of players from St. Charles East and St. Charles North.
The Saints’ attack set the tone with 15 goals, more than enough support for a defense that limited Oswego to just two. While specific individual goal, assist, faceoff, and save totals were not available, the final margin reflected control in every phase. St. Charles dictated the flow, won key sequences, and kept pressure on Oswego throughout the night.
Just as important, the team showed the balance that strong teams need in April. The offense produced in bunches, the defensive group stayed organized, and the team’s overall pace never dipped despite the wet conditions. That combination helped St. Charles protect home field at Norris Stadium and continue building confidence as the season moves deeper into the spring.
For the school community, Friday’s result was another uplifting moment for a program finding its stride. Two straight wins have St. Charles trending in the right direction, and a 15-2 performance against Oswego gave players, families, and fans plenty to celebrate as the team carries this surge into its next stretch of the season.
