ST. CHARLES, Ill. — St. Charles East made Senior Day a winning one, using a second-half surge to defeat Batavia 46-34 in a DuKane Conference matchup Saturday at St. Charles East High School.

Sophomore standout Brooklyn Schilb led the Fighting Saints with a game-high 24 points, while fellow scorer Addy Schilb added 19 as St. Charles East pulled away after halftime. The pair combined for 43 of the team’s 46 points, providing consistent offense in a game defined by defensive stretches and key momentum swings.

The Saints set the tone early with aggressive half-court defense, limiting clean looks for the Bulldogs and turning stops into transition chances. Behind active hands on the perimeter and solid rebounding, St. Charles East battled back from the Bulldogs early lead, with Brooklyn Schilb attacking the lane and getting to the rim.
