St. Charles East blanks Naperville North 10-0 in five innings behind Fuscone, McCabe and Feigleson

Darren Howard | St Charles East High School | Mar 25, 2026

St. Charles East wasted little time taking control Tuesday and never let up, rolling to a 10-0 five-inning win over Naperville North in Naperville. The Fighting Saints delivered the decisive punch with a steady offensive effort and backed it with dominant pitching, improving to 2-1 on the season.

The Saints set the tone by limiting the Huskies to just one hit all game, turning the afternoon into a showcase for Gavin Fuscone on the mound. Fuscone earned the win and piled up eight strikeouts, overpowering Naperville North hitters and keeping traffic off the bases. With the pitching staff in command from the outset, St. Charles East was free to press the action offensively and build separation inning by inning.

At the plate, Dylan McCabe sparked the attack with a 3-for-4 performance and drove in three runs. His consistent production helped keep innings alive and gave the Saints the kind of pressure offense that can quickly tilt a game. James Feigleson added another major swing, finishing 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs. Feigleson's blast supplied one of the biggest moments of the day and helped widen the gap as St. Charles East pulled away.

The combination of sharp pitching, timely hitting and clean execution made this one a complete effort for the Fighting Saints. Holding a lineup to one hit while producing 10 runs is the kind of all-around performance that can energize a club early in the season, and Tuesday's result gave St. Charles East exactly that kind of lift.

Now 2-1, the Saints leave Naperville with momentum after a performance packed with standout contributions. Fuscone controlled the game on the mound, McCabe kept the offense moving, and Feigleson delivered the headline swing in a convincing road win over the Huskies.
