St. Charles East sweeps Geneva across all levels in strong road showing

Darren Howard | St Charles East High School | Apr 28, 2026

St. Charles East added another impressive result to its season Monday night, sweeping Geneva at every level in a road matchup at Geneva High School. The Fighting Saints varsity team led the way with a 10-5 victory, while both JV and JV2 turned in dominant 13-2 wins to complete a full-program statement.

The varsity result stood out as the headline performance, giving the Fighting Saints a solid team win in a rivalry road environment. In a sport where every singles and doubles flight matters, St. Charles East built the overall margin by consistently collecting key points across the lineup. The 10-5 final showed both depth and balance, with the Saints doing enough in the most important spots to stay in control of the match.

Just as notable was the strength of the program from top to bottom. The JV and JV2 teams each posted 13-2 victories, continuing the kind of all-level success that has become a theme for the Fighting Saints this season. Those results reflected steady singles play, productive doubles pairings and the ability to keep pressure on an opponent throughout an entire meet.

Even without individual match-by-match results available, the overall numbers told the story clearly. St. Charles East once again showed that it can win on the road, stack points in multiple flights and carry momentum from varsity through the lower levels. The sweep over Geneva also followed a string of strong outings for the program, reinforcing the confidence and consistency the Saints have built deep into the schedule.

For St. Charles East, the night was about more than one scoreline. It was another reminder of the team culture and competitive standard the Fighting Saints have established this spring. Varsity delivered the feature win at 10-5, JV and JV2 matched that energy with commanding 13-2 performances, and the Saints left Geneva with another complete program effort to celebrate.
