The Varsity Track & Field team turned in a strong showing Saturday at the CHSL Championship at Detroit Catholic Central, finishing as team runner-up with 111 points. The Knights were driven by multiple event titles, two relays that moved into the program record book and a school record from hurdler Evor Grier '28.

The biggest individual highlight came in the 300M hurdles, where Evor Grier '28 won in 38.71 seconds and set a new school record. Grier also claimed third place in the 110 hurdles. On the track, Brennan Higgins '28 added another title in the 3200M and placed second in the 1600M, while Jamele Croom '29 delivered a first-place finish in the 200M with a time of 22.31. That mark set a freshman record and ranks fourth all-time in school history. Connor Anspaugh '26 was fourth in the same race in 22.73, good for eighth all-time, and Keshawn Richardson '29 added a seventh-place finish.

The Knights also made a major impact in the relays. The 4x200M team of Peter Mauder '28, Jamele Croom '29, Aman Hicks '29 and Connor Anspaugh '26 took first in 1:29.0, a performance that ranks third all-time in school history. The 4x100M team of Peter Mauder '28, Braylon Pokrykwa '27, Keshawn Richardson '29 and Jeremiah Lawrence '26 also finished first, crossing in 42.48 to move into third all-time in school history. The 4x800M relay of Elliot Toon '27, Lucas Martin '29, Jack Arquette '28 and Grady Kling '27 added more points with a third-place finish.

Elsewhere, Chase Little '28 placed sixth in the 800M, and the field events supplied valuable scoring in a tightly contested meet. Tyler Zoldowski '26 finished third in discus, Blake Adler '26 took fifth in shot put, and Eme'ka Bowen '29 placed eighth in the long jump. In the high jump, Ben Gault '27 finished in third place and Jadyn Johnson '28 finished fifth, while Gault also added a sixth-place finish in the 110 hurdles.

The runner-up finish, paired with a school record, a freshman record and two relay marks among the best in program history, gave the Knights a strong result at the CHSL Championship meet!
