Steinmetz Blanks Marine Leadership Academy 14-0 Behind Two 90-Yard Touchdowns

Steinmetz College Prep struck for a touchdown on the first play and relied on a relentless defense to defeat Marine Leadership Academy 14-0 in Week 6. Armoni Dean produced both touchdowns, throwing a 90-yard scoring pass before returning an interception 90 yards for a score to help the Silver Streaks improve to 4-2.

The opening touchdown came on a double-reverse pass that immediately put Marine Leadership Academy’s defense under pressure. Armoni Dean delivered the ball to Jeffrey Dean, who completed the 90-yard scoring play. Quarterback Josh then powered into the end zone for the 2-point conversion, giving Steinmetz an 8-0 advantage moments into the game.

Steinmetz protected that lead with its pass rush. The Silver Streaks recorded nine sacks, led by Kayden Jefferson’s four sacks and forced fumble. The defensive front consistently disrupted Marine Leadership Academy, while the secondary intercepted three passes. Adam Molina also contributed as one of Steinmetz’s key playmakers in the shutout effort.

The decisive defensive play belonged to Armoni Dean. He intercepted a pass and returned it 90 yards for a touchdown, extending the lead to 14-0. Combined with his 90-yard touchdown pass on the opening snap, Dean directly accounted for both Steinmetz scores. Jeffrey Dean, Mendez, Jefferson and Molina supplied additional contributions as the Silver Streaks finished off the shutout.

Steinmetz now turns to Week 7 and a homecoming and senior night matchup against Uplift at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3. The Silver Streaks will carry a 4-2 record into the home game as they celebrate their seniors and look to build on a defensive performance that featured nine sacks, three interceptions and no points allowed.
