The Avon Eagles secured an impressive 10-7 win in a lacrosse game against the Westlake High School Demons on March 26. The varsity game, part of the NOLL league game was a display of athleticism and teamwork on Avon's home turf. Despite overcast and cool conditions at the Avon, the Eagles fought through, and took a 6-4 lead at halftime. The tenacity and skill of Avon was rewarded when the whistle blew with the final score in their favor. The Eagles' scoring was led by Ava Schafer, who tallied an impressive four goals. Ella Shafer and Alyla Perez added to the scoreline with two and three goals, respectively. The win was also a testament to the performance of Addie Atkins, who grabbed six significant ground balls during the game. The defense, led by Grace Herbert, kept the Demons at bay while ensuring their sharp performance was recognized. The Eagles dominance was underscored by their record, which now stands at an unblemished 4-0. As training begins for their upcoming challenge, the Avon Eagles are looking ahead to face off against Brunswick High School on April 4 at their home ground.
