Avon High School Eagles Triumph Over Berea Midpark Titans in SWC League Basketball Clash

The Avon High School Eagles soared to a victory against the Berea Midpark Titans during a Southwestern Conference (SWC) league game held at home on Feb. 6. The Avon Eagles basketball squad, competing at the varsity level, showcased their skills with a 71-62 win over the Titans, bringing the Eagles' current season record to 12-6 overall and a solid 7-3 in the competitive SWC standings. The game saw a close and intense start with a halftime score of Avon 32, Berea Midpark 28. The home team, buoyed by behind-the-arc shooting, made a late-game statement by going an impressive 11 for 12 from the free-throw line during the crucial fourth quarter, which played a pivotal role in securing the Eagles' victory. Leading the charge, Zane Austin contributed a game-high with 23 points to the final tally, while Nate Farley and Tyson Ziegler followed closely with 11 points each. The Avon High Eagles now aim to carry their momentum into their next battle as they prepare to face off against Midview on Feb. 9 at Midview High School.
