Boys lacrosse wins fourth in a row with 11-5 victory over Hoban
Jace Barton and Will Conley each scored three goals Monday as visiting Avon defeated Hoban in boys lacrosse action, 11-5. It was the fourth consecutive victory for the Eagles, now 10-3.
Avon led after each quarter, 5-2 after one, 6-2 at the half and 8-2 after three. The Knights made a move in the fourth period to cut the margin to 8-4, but after a timeout the Eagles outscored their hosts, 3-1, the rest of the way.
Evan Juergens added two goals and two assists for Avon, Fin Jerdonek had two goals, and Jude Theibert had one goal and one assist. Goalie Lucas Deacon held Hoban in check with 10 saves.
Next on the schedule for the Eagles is a home game Friday against Green.
